The Groovy Gang and their friends are back with some fantastic live music!

Headlining is Decent Pair of Boots:

Hardly ever pinned down for a gig, this mysterious & lively band always wakes up a room. Listen out for the nebulous basslines and creamy trumpet tones, set around a god of a lead singer. Original material alongside some rare covers; no two shows the same – Decent Pair of Boots definitely have to be ‘experienced’.

Starting off the evening is Sam Woodland

Manningtree’s resident mysterious forest guitarist. Picking up a guitar during the pandemic after nearly a decade of putting it off, his wraithy voice and plucked strings regularly haunt the local countryside. Sam’s ‘woodland melodies,’ written mostly in nature, tell stories of surrogate father giants, radioactive basketball coaches, symbolically-dead clowns and the unquenchable desire for human connection from an autistic perspective.

In the middle are hosts The Groovy Arts Club Band

it wouldn’t be a Groovy Arts Club Night with out The Groovy Arts Club! Known for their well-loved entertaining & energetic sets (recently seen at prestigious London venues), the ‘Groovies’ celebrate 1960s/70s Art & Music with their original songs plus a few appropriately-chosen covers.
